Ginger Onion Tea Immune Boost

Bring on the heat!  Keeping our bodies warm is one key to staying healthy.   This delicious and very simple tea keeps the body resilient against colds and viruses.

Ingredients:

  • 2 inches fresh ginger root grated
  • 1 onion
  • honey (to desired sweetness)
  • 4-6 cups water

Boil water in pot on stove.  Grate ginger.  I like using about 2 inches of ginger per 4 cups of water.  You could dilute if you don’t like it as strong.   Chop onion.  Add the onion and ginger to the boiling water and simmer for about 15 minutes or longer.

When you are ready to drink, just strain off the solids and add honey. I will typically make a large pot and drink it over the course of two days off the stovetop.

Yum!
